26.03.2013

In November 2012 Markleen inaugurated its new premises in Sweden. The new 1500 m2 complex is located at Amal (Gothenburg) and includes a sales office as well as a containment boom and storage tank manufacturing facility. This new investment means Markleen will now be better positioned to attend the oil spill needs of countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Russia.  The new premises will be under the management of Mr Robert Byström, a seasoned professional in the sector.
Markleen is a company specialising in products and services for oil spill response in marine environments.  It offers integral solutions tailored to the customer’s installations and operations, emphasising safety, speed of deployment and efficiency.
Over recent years Markleen has invested heavily in R&D, developing new equipment featuring the latest technology.  As a result, Markleen is now a reference in its sector. Javier Pérez, Sales Director of Markleen, said “We are currently present in over 20 countries, and our strongest markets in 2012 have been Norway, Brazil and Turkey”.
Sofía Andrés, vice-president of the Markleen Group, added “The opening of these new premises is part of the company’s ongoing expansion plan.  Our growth over recent years has surpassed our objectives and all the signs are that this positive trend will continue into 2013”.
