The Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies
In 2018 Markleen supplied a total of 10 complete MOS Boom systems to NOFO – The Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies.
The MOS Boom is a development on the highly successful Markleen Uniboom® X offshore system, comprising a twin-spiral inflation system and a reel featuring a rotary base for ease of boom recovery.
The MOS Boom systems were supplied to a number of NOFO bases located along the Norwegian coastline and each system consisted:
- A 2700 mm high 400 m long automatically inflatable boom
- A dedicated hydraulic reel for boom deployment and recovery
- A hydraulic air compressor
- A hydraulic power unit
- Complete set of thoses and other necessary accessories
Thanks to these systems, NOFO now has in its hands the most sophisticated equipment available to tackle oil spills in Norwegian waters.
