Markleen has developed a range of booms for the containment of sargassum with an excellent level of effectiveness and, more importantly, with proven resistence to adverse weather and sea conditions.
We recently exhibited at ASONAHORES, a trade show for the hotel sector in the Dominican Republic, where we presented our MURSARGAZ boom, as a solution to the sargassum problem. We exhibited in cooperation with our distributor Beach Trotters and their agent Elinca. Together they lead the way in the supply of sargassum containment booms, resulting in improved beach conditions and better prospects for local hotels.
The product is a floating containment boom which prevents seaweed from reaching beaches. This seaweed damages ecosystems, is a threat to public health and causes major economic problems.
