Specifications
No inflators, compressors or other forms of external air supply are required. Instead, air is drawn in through recessed vents at the top of the boom, filling the floats with atmospheric air. The self-inflating system and the absence of check valves make the ECOSPEED an exceptionally rapid deployment boom with minimal personnel requirements.

Features
ECOSPEED booms have excellent wave-following characteristics due to their high buoyancy, flexibility and stability. Internal foam flotation gives the booms plenty of reserve buoyancy, making them virtually impossible to sink in the event of damage.
Air vents prevent water from entering the floatation chambers and eliminate the risk of damage associated with surface-mounted valves. In addition, each 25-metre section has a drain valve at both ends. Water that may enter a damaged boom will automatically drain when the boom is lifted from the sea using the reel, without the need for opening valves or removing covers.
ECOSPEED booms are manufactured from a high-frequency welded PU/PVC blended fabric, which is resistant to oil, salt and ultraviolet light. ECOSPEED booms are designed to provide increased visibility in the dark. The booms are bright yellow in colour and have pockets for beacons every 25 metres, plus large welded-on reflectors around the entire circumference of the float every 5 metres.
