Features
In addition to the ability to operate in shallow water, the NOFI Current Buster® 2 can operate in water currents of up to 3 knots. Even at this relatively high speed, the system can pick up both high and low viscosity hydrocarbons, including diesel (this capability has been thoroughly documented with extensive testing conducted at the OHMSETT test tank, USA). The NOFI Current Buster® 2 can be stored on a reel or packed, for example, on a pallet.
Single vessel operation
The NOFI Current Buster® 2 can be towed by two vessels or by a single vessel using a BoomVane system. This towing configuration provides the operator with many advantages, such as reduced response time, increased maneuverability, improved operating conditions and safety for the user, and reduced costs due to the use of a single vessel.
