Specifications
The NOFI Current Buster® 6 is currently in use in many pollution control agencies around the world. It offers excellent surface coverage and flexibility at towing speeds of up to 5 knots. The system is available in several different storage options, from hydraulic reels to all-in-one containerised alternatives. The NOFI Current Buster® 6 is ideal for single vessel operations when used in conjunction with the BoomVane system.

Features
With the help of the optimised shape of the separator, it stabilises the movement of the separator and the liquids in the 70 m3 temporary storage area. Improved water outlet design allows water to easily escape from the separator as it fills with oil; In addition, it also allows the system to be deployed and recovered in both directions.
The NOFI Current Buster® 6 can operate 5 times faster than a conventional boom with a single vessel and a BoomVane, while a conventional boom maintains a towing speed of up to 1 knot maximum and requires two vessels during operation.
The NOFI Current Buster® 6 can be towed by two vessels or by one using a BoomVane system. This towing configuration offers the operator many advantages such as shorter response time, greater maneuverability, better operating conditions and safety for the user and cost reductions due to the use of a single vessel.
