Specifications
Weir skimmers are floating devices for collecting oil on water.
They consist of a central collector ring and floats on the outside, which keep the ring at the level of the water surface, as well as submerged bellows which rise and fall with the movement of the water.

Features
Weir skimmers are used in combination with an oil transfer pump, which can be mounted on the skimmer itself, or located separately on land. In the latter case the skimmer has the advantage of being light and easy to deploy.
Weir skimmers work by the oil on the water falling into the collector ring and being subsequently pumped out through hoses.
Weir skimmers are recommended where a simple and cost-effective solution in relation to recovery capacity is sought. They are most effective with thick layers of oil and with low or medium oil viscosities.
