Markleen Uniboom® X Series self-inflatable booms are the most technologically advanced solution for offshore oil spill recovery where all other options would be unsuitable.

The boom’s buoyancy is provided by two independent high-pressure inflatable spiral circuits which form the boom’s freeboard chambers, and is backed up a further two independent low pressure circuits.

The Markleen Uniboom® X Series boom is immediately inflated as soon as it leaves the hydraulic reel, and a 300 m section of boom is easily deployed in 5 minutes.

Recovering the boom is equally straightforward and is aided by the special rotating base on the boom reel, which helps to distribute the recovered boom equally along the length of the spool.
