Containment booms with cylindrical foam floatation

ECOSOLID containment booms are solid floatation booms for harbours and inshore waters. The booms are equipped with flexible, closed cell foam floats, giving the boom excellent wave following characteristics and a particularly robust construction, allowing for a long service-life in adverse conditions.

The fabric used, top quality, high-frequency-welded oil-resistant coated fabrics, make this boom robust and highly resistant to hydrocarbons, chemical agents, and adverse weather conditions.  A high visibility yellow colour and large reflective strips vertically positioned on the floats make the boom easy to see in the dark. Folding points are marked in black every 2 m.

Each 25-metre section has drainage valves at both ends. Water that might enter a damaged boom will automatically drain out when the boom is lifted out of the sea, without the need for opening valves or removing caps. Each section is also fitted with the flexible Dynamic Response end connectors, mooring points, handles and a holder for high-intensity LED marker lights. ECOSOLID is exclusively developed and designed for packing in the NOFI BoomBag system, but may also be stored on pallets, in packing crates, hung from ceiling-mounted rails in containers and spooled onto most boom reels.
