Containment Booms

Containment booms with solid floats for oil or fuel spill emergencies in the sea

Cylindrical floatation oil containment booms for oil spills in ports, harbours and protected waters

Booms for containing oil spills in the sea

Cylindrical floatation oil containment booms are used for oil spills in ports and harbours, as well as in protected and semi-protected waters in general.

The booms’ solid floats means they do not have to be inflated, thereby allowing for immediate deployment when faced with an oil or fuel spill emergency in the sea.

Markleen Ecosolid booms are supplied in interconnectable 25 m sections, which can form a floating barrier of any length to surround an oil slick.  The Ecosolid boom’s cylindrically shaped floats provides it with good stability and wave-following characteristics, which are important factors to bear in mind when  seeking to contain an oil spill in a marine environment.
